Quick Start
This guide walks you through connecting your first RC500 router to the Telisky MDM platform.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- An RC500 router with firmware v1.50 or later
- A Telisky MDM account (contact sales for access)
- Internet connectivity (Ethernet or cellular SIM)
Step 1: Power On the RC500
Section titled “Step 1: Power On the RC500”- Insert a cellular SIM card into the primary SIM slot
- Connect the power adapter
- Wait approximately 60 seconds for the device to boot
The status LED will turn solid blue when the device is ready.
Step 2: Connect to the Web Interface
Section titled “Step 2: Connect to the Web Interface”- Connect to the RC500’s WiFi network (default SSID:
RC500-XXXX) - Open a browser and navigate to
http://192.168.1.1 - Log in with the default credentials:

admin - Password: (printed on device label)
- Username:
Step 3: Configure Internet Connectivity
Section titled “Step 3: Configure Internet Connectivity”Cellular (Default)
Section titled “Cellular (Default)”If a SIM card is inserted, the RC500 will automatically attempt to connect using default APN settings. To configure manually:
- Navigate to Network → Cellular
- Enter your carrier’s APN settings
- Click Save & Apply
Ethernet WAN
Section titled “Ethernet WAN”- Connect an Ethernet cable to the WAN port
- Navigate to Network → WAN
- Select DHCP (default) or configure static/PPPoE
- Click Save & Apply
Step 4: Register with MDM Platform
Section titled “Step 4: Register with MDM Platform”Automatic Registration
Section titled “Automatic Registration”If the device has internet connectivity and MDM credentials are pre-provisioned (factory default), it will automatically connect to the MDM platform within 2 minutes.
Manual Registration
Section titled “Manual Registration”- Log into cloud.telisky.com
- Navigate to Devices → Add Device
- Enter the device serial number (found on device label)
- The platform generates MQTT credentials
- On the RC500 web interface, navigate to System → MDM
- Enter the broker URL and device credentials
- Click Save & Apply
The device will establish an MQTT connection and appear as “Online” in the portal within 30 seconds.
Step 5: Verify Connectivity
Section titled “Step 5: Verify Connectivity”In the MDM portal at cloud.telisky.com:
- Navigate to Devices
- Find your device in the list — it should show status Online
- Click the device to view real-time telemetry:
- Signal strength
- Connection type (4G/5G)
- GPS position (if GPS antenna connected)
- System uptime
