Quick Start

This guide walks you through connecting your first RC500 router to the Telisky MDM platform.

  • An RC500 router with firmware v1.50 or later
  • A Telisky MDM account (contact sales for access)
  • Internet connectivity (Ethernet or cellular SIM)
  1. Insert a cellular SIM card into the primary SIM slot
  2. Connect the power adapter
  3. Wait approximately 60 seconds for the device to boot

The status LED will turn solid blue when the device is ready.

  1. Connect to the RC500’s WiFi network (default SSID: RC500-XXXX)
  2. Open a browser and navigate to http://192.168.1.1
  3. Log in with the default credentials:
    • Username: admin
    • Password: (printed on device label)

If a SIM card is inserted, the RC500 will automatically attempt to connect using default APN settings. To configure manually:

  1. Navigate to Network → Cellular
  2. Enter your carrier’s APN settings
  3. Click Save & Apply
  1. Connect an Ethernet cable to the WAN port
  2. Navigate to Network → WAN
  3. Select DHCP (default) or configure static/PPPoE
  4. Click Save & Apply

If the device has internet connectivity and MDM credentials are pre-provisioned (factory default), it will automatically connect to the MDM platform within 2 minutes.

  1. Log into cloud.telisky.com
  2. Navigate to Devices → Add Device
  3. Enter the device serial number (found on device label)
  4. The platform generates MQTT credentials
  5. On the RC500 web interface, navigate to System → MDM
  6. Enter the broker URL and device credentials
  7. Click Save & Apply

The device will establish an MQTT connection and appear as “Online” in the portal within 30 seconds.

In the MDM portal at cloud.telisky.com:

  1. Navigate to Devices
  2. Find your device in the list — it should show status Online
  3. Click the device to view real-time telemetry:
    • Signal strength
    • Connection type (4G/5G)
    • GPS position (if GPS antenna connected)
    • System uptime
