Key Concepts
A short glossary of the terms you will see in the cloud portal and this documentation. Each entry includes where you encounter it.
Organization
Section titled “Organization”Your company’s account in Telisky. It owns your devices and your people, and keeps your data separate from every other customer. Where you see it: Cloud Management - Organizations.
Sub-organization
Section titled “Sub-organization”A child organization nested under your main one - useful for separating sites, regions, customers, or business units while keeping them under one parent. Where you see it: Cloud Management - Organizations.
Device
Section titled “Device”Any piece of hardware Telisky manages, most often an RC500 router. Each device has a name, a status, and a last-seen time. Where you see it: Cloud Management - Devices.
Telisky’s industrial cellular router. It provides internet over a wired connection, a cellular SIM, or both, plus local WiFi and networking. Where you see it: RC500 Router - Overview.
T80 voice adapter (ATA)
Section titled “T80 voice adapter (ATA)”An analog telephone adapter that connects ordinary phones to a voice service through an upstream RC500 router. Where you see it: Cloud Management - VoIP.
A named set of devices you manage together, so you can apply the same change to all of them at once instead of one at a time. Where you see it: Cloud Management - Device Groups.
Config profile
Section titled “Config profile”A saved, reusable set of router settings you build once and apply to a device, a group, or a rollout. Where you see it: Cloud Management - Config Profiles.
Rollout
Section titled “Rollout”A controlled way to apply a change - a config, a firmware update, a reboot, or a speed test - to many devices in small waves so you can catch problems early. Where you see it: Cloud Management - Rollouts.
A single action sent to one device, such as applying a config or updating firmware. Each job has a status you can track to success or failure. Where you see it: Cloud Management - Jobs.
Fleet map
Section titled “Fleet map”A live map of your devices that also highlights coverage areas, trouble spots, and where devices stop and dwell. Where you see it: Cloud Management - Fleet Map.
Audit log
Section titled “Audit log”A record of activity across your organization - who did what, and when. Where you see it: Cloud Management - Audit Log.
Billing plan
Section titled “Billing plan”The subscription that determines your device quota and which features are available to your organization. Where you see it: Cloud Management - Billing.
MDM attach code
Section titled “MDM attach code”A temporary one-time code that lets an on-site RC500 attach to the correct Telisky organization during setup. Only use it when your deployment instructions or Telisky contact tell you to. Where you see it: Start here - Attach a router to the cloud, and RC500 Router - Local Web UI.
Local Web UI
Section titled “Local Web UI”The management interface built into each router, reached at http://192.168.4.1 when you are connected to that router. It works even with no internet.

Cloud portal
Section titled “Cloud portal”The Telisky website at cloud.telisky.com where you manage every device remotely from one place. Where you see it: Cloud Management - Overview.
The Access Point Name your cellular carrier uses to connect a SIM to the internet. Some carriers require you to set it manually. Where you see it: RC500 Router - Cellular & SIM, and Cloud Management - Router Settings.
Failover
Section titled “Failover”Automatic switching to a backup internet path - for example from wired to cellular - when the primary connection drops, so the site stays online. Where you see it: RC500 Router - Network, and Cloud Management - Router Settings.
Carrier-Grade NAT, a way carriers share a limited pool of public addresses. On many cellular plans it means inbound connections (such as port forwarding) cannot reach the router from the internet. Where you see it: RC500 Router - Network, and Troubleshooting - Internet & Cellular.
